standards

It is good to review the different standards. Content, Process, Performance, and NETS standards should work together. The more aware of these standards we are as teachers will benefit our students.

Objectives should be based on our standards and not just what the "teaching guide" has planned for the chapter......

Great point!

I have a complaint. Dianna Bowen cut and pasted a comment I made on another post and used it as her own on this post. This is pure and simple plagiarism. For those who may not know, according to Webster, this means "the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work." She should be immediately dropped from this class and receive an automatic F. If not, I plan to notify UCA, The Center of Learning, of this injustice. Others, be warned.

I am not sure what Preston is talking about but I did not cut and paste anything. I don't even know how to cut ant paste in either blog or facebook. I wish Preston had come to me, because if I was repeating something he said I would have gone back and given him credit. I am sorry if I did copy what he said. But, if I did, I did it without realizing it. It was typed from my keyboard. I realize that if it was what he said it would still be plagerism but I did not do it intensionally. I am not even sure what he was talking about. The only thing I posted here was "DittO" How do you plagerize that?

Dianna and all: That was a joke. We've all been working hard, and I was just trying to give us a laugh. If you look at the whole thread you can see that it is a joke. You don't have to look far to see that the "plagiarism" is a single comment: "ditto." Why else would I end my comment with "others, be warned?" I thought most of the comments in the thread were humorous in a sarcastic way, so I was just following up with that. (Not that you weren't sincere in your comments, but that they were such quick comments due to our busy schedules). I can't imagine that anyone would read that as a serious comment. I have not been comfortable with the facebook or blog assignments anyway because I have always been concerned about people abusing others with their words as well as personal information, etc. So, I would certainly not be contributing to a blog in that manner. If I had a serious complaint about anyone, I would certainly not air it on a blog. I even sent Dianna a message on facebook telling her to see my comment in the hopes that she might get a laugh out of it. From the start of this, she and I have been friendly because we had some things in common (same age, etc.). Gosh, I'm dumbfounded. But I am very sorry if I offended anyone. This confirms my decision to delete all of my accounts when our class is finished.
